I would just like to point out that the gerund is used to link
together a sequence of actions that would more idiomatically be
expressed in English with indicative verbs linked together with "and".

For example, #1 could be translated:
The Brahman woman bathed in the river with girl and came to the house.

#3 highlights an interesting feature of this too. It could be
translated more fluently and simply as:
The girls will go to the tank with their female friends and bathe.

Although the gerund "gantvaa" seems to express past tense, it really
just means that the "going" happens before the later verb, "bathing",
though in actual fact both will happen in the future.

For #8, perhaps you might use "stayed" instead of "stood" for
".thatvaa", and "doe" instead of "deer", sense migii is a female deer.
How about:
The leopards stayed in the forest, killed the doe, and ate it.
