Dear Nina,

If by chance it has the spelling 'aamantaa', it means 'yes' or
'indeed'. Cone has: aamantaa, ind., (interjection of affirmation) yes,
certainly. The CPD says it is used in Abhidhamma catechism so I think
this is likely the meaning you're looking for. Not sure if it is
derived from the root 'mant' though, as it is similar in meaning to
'aama'.
