I had bunches of mistakes in the last go round. I did wonder about the
tablecloth bit tho. M & P have the end ripped off the table cloth, but
Alan's translation makes more sense because such things were very labor
intensive to make. OTOH, Flosi was trying to make a point if the cloth is
torn in contrast to his modesty regarding the high seat. He was not to be
elevated in a patronizing way, but neither was he to be treated badly with
the shredded towel. I don't know.

Literally, the towel had had something taken from it at one end. This
is 'annarr' in the sense "one [out of two]", "one [by contrast with
the other]", as in the expression 'annarr ... annarr' "one ... the other".
