It is thought to've been written in the 13th century
which would make it fall under the aegis of Old Icelandic,
rather than Middle Icelandic if the usual definitions
are used.

The manuscript it is preserved in, Flateyjarbók, is dated to the
last years of the 14th century. If anyone is interested in seeing
some of the actual MS (parts of which contain funny little
