Apparently t>s between n_l in Indo-Iranian, also. Seen by comparing:

*gWhentlo+s gWhn,tl,+ 'causing _ to be driven away / harmed / killed,
etc.'

*gWhentlo+s > OIr gétal, -gal 'slaying (noun)'

*gWhentlo+s > *gYhenslo+ > Av j@:n@...:- 'slaying'

*gWhentlo+s > *gYhinslo+ > Skt hiMsrá- 'murderous, malicious, etc.'

*gWhn,tl,+ ko+ '-er, -ing' > *gWhn,sl,ko+ > *gYhn,_uka+ > ha:nuka-
'slaying (adj.)'

*gWhn,tl,+ > Lith ginklas 'weapon'

The change of l,>u after a fric. as in *tr,kWtl(e)+ > Skt tarku-; as
the s disappears it leaves a space filled by n, > n,: > a:n before a
vowel.

The s also causes lengthening after VN in Avestan as *suxals >
*zwaLz > *xwaNx > xV@:N 'sun's'.
