Speaking about Albanian verbs which means "to speak", the principal
entries in my dictionary are the verbs "thotë" and "flet". I would like
to know which is the proposed etymology for these two verbs since they
appears to have cognates in Rom. as well. For instance the root "fle-"
appears in Rom. in the following words with the meaning "speak" or
"mouth" as organ of speaking.

fleancã= mouth
flecãri= to chat, to speak Smalltalk
fleac= non important word, things.

The words are not classified etymologically, they are tagged with the
well known "unknown etymology".
Seing the Albanian "flet" which means "to speak", it doesn't appear
anymore as without cognates and hard to find an etymology for this. I
wonder about the nasalised form in "fleancã" (mouth) if this has an
Reflex in Alb. as well.

Piotr, if you are reading this.. what do you think of conj. pers I sg of
Alb. verb "flet" which is "flas"?
Can it be this "*fle_c_" > "fla_s_ or the "s" here has an another, clear
explanation and there is no connection of "k" > "s" in that context?
