'Hail!' would be a more precise translation of OPruss. kails (especially
in view of the fact that ON heill and OE ha:l [Mod.E whole] are its
cognates).

You got these words from Joseph Pashka's "Sudovian-English Dictionary",
didn't you? Unfortunately, Pashka's "Sudovian" is a made-up language
based mainly on Old Prussian (though a good deal of East Baltic
inspiration is visible as well). Creating conlangs is no crime, but if
the creator presents his conlang to the public as a real language, my
duty as a linguist is to warn the lay people that they are being taken
in, and that fact is being mixed up with fiction. Pashka's "Sudovian
vocabulary" comes from his own rich imagination, not from Sudovian.
_Real_ Sudovian (believed to be a regional variety of Old Prussian) is
known only from onomastics and a handful of glosses. No continous texts
in Sudovian have survived.

Speaking of Joseph Pashka's rich imagination, here's his translation of
the periodic table into "reconstructed Sudovian":

It's nice to know that the Sudovians would have called uranium
<uranajan> if they'd had uranium ;-)

So what?
