Personally, I think that the attempt of translating everyday things or
familiar passages of texts into PIE is an immensely instructive way of
learning a language and understanding fully what aspects of PIE grammar
and vocabulary still need to be studied. It's not conlangish at all.
It's a necessary part of our learning and a great way to further
comparative linguistics!

I'm finding it valuable to my own understanding of PIE and I hereby
encourage it. Thanks people!
