They are also referred to as "shioban" (sg), "shiobani" (pl) which is the
Romanian for shepherd. This is obviously because of their typical occupation.

As I understand you speak Albanian. I have a short question: is "nandru" (or
"nandra", or "nandri") Albanian word(s)?

Does anybody else know anything about this word?
