I don't know this book but it looks like fun. I will look out for
it. Certainly I have seen lots of stories, and swear words, written
in French spelling but with English meanings but not a whole book of
it - just stuff that gets passed around.

I am still thinking about Earl Herrick's post on the cultural
reasons for using diacritics. I wonder if there is some way to
differentiate between the traditional and Unicode definition of the
word 'diacritic'. It confused me last year especially because even
though Devanagari vowels look like 'diacritics', Tamil vowels do
not. For Cree finals are sometimes called 'diacritics'.
