I wondered why my machine was so sluggish, and called up Iarsn TaskInfo,
an excellent geek's software tool that shows the details of what's
happening inside your machine. There were three zombie instances of UDP
running, and none showed in the Taskbar!
So, here's a note of caution. They did show up in the Ctrl-Alt-Del Close
Program list, though. It wasn't easy to shut them down, either.
Considering what I'd been doing, three made sense. My Win 98 SE (or, maybe
more likely its Registry) is somewhat corrupted, so I don't know whether
this is a likely problem.
