Sorry, who's Henry Allan Gleason (1882-1975)?

Al Gleason wrote his textbook while at Hartford Seminary (where,
incidentally, he directed Earl Herrick's thesis on "graphemic" analysis
of a typeface); when he retired he moved to U Toronto, where I met him,
since he was directing a workshop on computerization of exotic scripts
at the 1990 ICANAS, and then he got tired of the snow and moved to El
Paso.

Since suzmccarth knows him as an Indicist, presumably she's not
referring to the (presumed) father.
