To add to Dmytro's list, there may be a new trend developing in scholarship of regarding as correct the Theravada tradition that Pali was the language of the Buddha. Professor Gombrich argues this in his new book "Pali and Buddhism" published last year by Mud Pie Books. Quite independently I reached a similar conclusion with different arguments in my paper "The Buddha taught in Pali: A working hypothesis" published in May this year in the
Journal of the Oxford Centre for Buddhist Studies and available online at https://www.academia.edu/39258912/The_Buddha_taught_in_Pali_A_working_hypothesis
