Dear Phra Yuttadhammo,
Thanks for the clarification. I'm disappointed as I was hoping the PDF
files contained only scans or photo images of the actual Burmese
printed editions of the late 1950s. It sounds like the text of the
pages you saw are in the romanized, not Burmese, script. I would think
the texts can't be much different from those available from
tipitaka.org.
I believe images of the pages of the BJT Sinhalese script edition are
available online but not sure if this project has yet been completed.

Thank you, that's great... just to clarify, they are PDFs, but not
scans... they are typed, or OCR'ed, I'm not sure. The editing looks
great (especially by Burmese standards :) ), but only a closer look
will
tell...
The only problem for me is that they are not Unicode, so copying and
pasting doesn't work... here's a sample:
