Thanks for the interesting background on Skt. parasmaipadaani. The use
of attha that you suggest would come under payojana which also
includes the meaning of 'use'. As Aggava.msa quotes verses (Sadd I 16)
very similar to those found in Mmd on Kacc 406-7, I thought l would
quote a helpful comment on "parassatthaani padaani" in Mmd-p.t (Be, p.
247):

parassatthaani padaaniiti attatthavaacaka-amhasaddato
a~n~natthavaacakassa naamatumhasaddassa atthappakaasakaani padaaniiti
attho ||

I think "meaning" fits better as in the following  tentative
translation:

'parassatthaani padaanii" -- the meaning is as follows: the
terminations explaining the meaning of the word "you" (2nd pers.) and
"name" (3rd pers.) which express meanings different from that of the
word "amha" expressing the meaning of "self".

There is also the following comment on attanopadaani (p.248):

attano atthaani padaaniiti attavaacakassa amhasaddassatthavaacakaani
padaaniiti attho ||

I only found these comments this morning.
