I didn't buy with 400000 rupee. Anyway what is 400 usd for a set of tipitaka. This is a reasonable price to pay.Can I ask all PTS books to be free online simply because the  price is too high?Let the dhamma books be something we have to pay for or we can just read it in the library if we can't afford it.I find that most people throw away free dhamma books  in malaysia. They won't do this to dhamma books they bought in store like majjima, etc.

The books are for sale and you come out talking about free scanning.I just don't know what to say.Let people sell their books peacefully.Write your own original book if you can.

             Dear Ong,

The whole Buddha Jayanthi Tipitaka set costs, if I remember correctly,

about Rs. 40000, which corresponds to about US 400,- or more.  Then the

mailing could be more than double the amount… The whole set weights more

than a 100 kilos. I recently got a set and two strong men had to carry

the crates with books. The Simon Hewavitarne series is apparently being

reprinted too by the same publisher who reprints the Buddha Jayanthi,

but it will also be difficult and expensive to order. The original Simon

Hewawitarne books is indeed quite cheap, but it also looks quite cheap.

It is difficult though to find all of them because some are out of print.
