33."Ekapuggalo, bhikkhave, loke uppajjamaano uppajjati bahujana-
ahitaaya bahujana-asukhaaya, bahuno janassa anatthaaya ahitaaya
dukkhaaya devamanussaana.m. Katamo ekapuggalo? Micchaadi.t.thiko hoti
vipariitadassano. So bahujana.m saddhammaa vu.t.thaapetvaa asaddhamme
pati.t.thaapeti. Aya.m kho, bhikkhave, ekapuggalo loke uppajjamaano
uppajjati bahujana-ahitaaya bahujana-asukhaaya, bahuno janassa
anatthaaya ahitaaya dukkhaaya devamanussaanan"ti.

34. "Ekapuggalo, bhikkhave, loke uppajjamaano uppajjati
bahujanahitaaya bahujanasukhaaya, bahuno janassa atthaaya hitaaya
sukhaaya devamanussaana.m. Katamo ekapuggalo? Sammaadi.t.thiko hoti
avipariitadassano. So bahujana.m asaddhammaa vu.t.thaapetvaa
saddhamme pati.t.thaapeti. Aya.m kho, bhikkhave, ekapuggalo loke
upapajjamaano uppajjati bahujanahitaaya bahujanasukhaaya, bahuno
janassa atthaaya hitaaya sukhaaya devamanussaanan"ti.

35. "Naaha.m, bhikkhave, a~n~na.m ekadhammampi samanupassaami ya.m
eva.m mahaasaavajja.m yathayida.m, bhikkhave, micchaadi.t.thi.
Micchaadi.t.thiparamaani, bhikkhave, mahaasaavajjaanii"ti.

36. "Naaha.m, bhikkhave, a~n~na.m ekapuggalampi samanupassaami yo
eva.m bahujana-ahitaaya pa.tipanno bahujana-asukhaaya, bahuno janassa
anatthaaya ahitaaya dukkhaaya devamanussaana.m yathayida.m,
bhikkhave, makkhali moghapuriso. Seyyathaapi, bhikkhave, nadiimukhe
khippa.m u.d.deyya bahuuna.m macchaana.m ahitaaya dukkhaaya anayaaya
byasanaaya; evameva.m kho, bhikkhave, makkhali, moghapuriso
manussakhippa.m ma~n~ne loke uppanno bahuuna.m sattaana.m ahitaaya
dukkhaaya anayaaya byasanaayaa"ti.

"O monks, one person being born in the world is born to the harm of a
great many, to the unhappiness of a great many, to the disadvantage
of a great many, to detriment, to misery of gods and men.

ekapuggala = eka puggala (m) one person.
- eka (adj) one.
- puggala (m) individual, person.
bhikkhu (m) monk.
loka (m) world.
uppajjamaana (pr.p. of uppajjati) being born, arising.
uppajjati (v) is born, arises.
bahujana = bahu jana (m) many beings, multitude.
- bahu (adj) much, many.
- jana (m) person, being.
ahita (n) harm, detriment.
asukha = na sukha (n) unhappiness.
- sukha (n) happiness.
anattha (m, n) disadvantage.
- attha (m, n) advantage.
dukkha (n) misery.

(The one) having wrong view it is, an equivocal belief.

micchaadi.t.thika (adj) having wrong view.

- vipariita (adj) reversed, changed, wrong, equivocal.
- dassana (n) view, theory.

So bahujana.m saddhammaa vu.t.thaapetvaa asaddhamme pati.t.thaapeti.

3. "Naaha.m, bhikkhave, a~n~na.m ekadhammampi samanupassaami ya.m
eva.m mahaasaavajja.m yathayida.m, bhikkhave, micchaadi.t.thi.
not I / monks / another / even one phenomenon / perceive / which /
thus / seriously blamable / as just this / monks / wrong view
"O monks, I do not thus perceive even one other factor which is
seriously blamable as just this, monks: wrong view.

naaha.m= na aha.m [sandhi] not I.
- na (neg) not.
- aha.m (pron) I.
a~n~na.m (pron) another.ekadhammampi = eka-dhamma pi [sandhi] even
one phenomenon.
- eka (adj) one.
- dhamma (n) thing, phenomenon.
- pi (ind, emphatic) even, just so.
samanupassati (v) to perceive.
ya.m (rel pron) that, which.
eva.m (adv) so, thus, in this way.
mahaasaavajja = maha saavajja (adj) seriously blamable.
- mahant (adj) great.
- saavajja (adj) blamable, faulty.

eva.m bahujana-ahitaaya pa.tipanno bahujana-asukhaaya, bahuno janassa
anatthaaya ahitaaya dukkhaaya devamanussaana.m yathayida.m,
bhikkhave, makkhali moghapuriso.
not I / monks / another / even one person / perceive / who / thus /
of multitude-to harm / entered upon a path / of multitude-to
unhappiness / of many / of beings / to disadvantage / to harm / to
misery / of gods and men / as just this / monks / Makkhali / foolish
man
"O monks, I do not thus perceive even one other person who has taken
the steps to the harm of a great many, to the unhappiness of a great
many, to the disadvantage of a great many, to detriment, to misery of
gods and men as just this, monks: Makkhali, the foolish man.

Seyyathaapi, bhikkhave, nadiimukhe khippa.m u.d.deyya bahuuna.m
macchaana.m ahitaaya dukkhaaya anayaaya byasanaaya; evameva.m kho,
bhikkhave, makkhali, moghapuriso manussakhippa.m ma~n~ne loke uppanno
bahuuna.m sattaana.m ahitaaya dukkhaaya anayaaya byasanaayaa"ti.
just as-even / monks / at mouth of river / fishing net / should
hang / of many / of fish / to harm / to misery / to misfortune / to
ruin / just so / indeed / monks / Makkhali / foolish man / fishing
net of men / I suppose / in world / born / of many / of sentient
beings / to harm / to misery / to misfortune / to ruin
And, monks, just as a fishing net should hang at the mouth of a river
to the harm, misery, misfortune and ruin of many fish; indeed, monks,
just so I suppose Makkhali, the foolish man, (is) the 'fishing net of
men' born in the world to the harm, misery, misfortune and ruin of
many sentient beings."

nadiimukha (n) mouth of river.
- nadii (f) river.
- mukha (n) mouth.
khippa (n) fishing net.
u.d.deti (v) suspends.
maccha (m) fish.
anaya (m) misfortune.
byasana = vyasana (n) ruin.
