In fact, -to is used in Pali as an ablative suffix, often with an
adverbial sense.
Of course, but that is not the point. In the particular case we are
discussing -to is used ideomatically; and so is the locative in the
Satipatthaanasuttanta. You do not contemplate the body in the body (kaaye),
you contemplate the body as body (kaaye). The semantics is the same.
