SV: [Pali] Syntax and multiple locations (the locative case)

Dear Alan,

Thus, Saavatthi contains Jetavane which contains the aarame of
Anaathapi.n.dika.

From the syntactical standpoint is this correct?

One would think so, but the function of the locative is also to denote
samiipa something being situated in the vicinity of something else. This
means in the present formula that the Bhagavat stayed in A.s aarama in
Jetavana near Saavatthi.

Regards,

Ole Pind
