Hi Yong Peng and folks,

I'm always on the lookout for my pet topics in grammar, and here's what initially might look look a counterexample.

>
>Saa tassaa nivesane bhikkhusa`ngha.m parivisati.
>she / her / in house / community of monks / feeds
>She serves the community of monks in her house.

Dhp-a 13 sumanaadeviyaavatthu

As we've looked at before, I believe this can only mean that she (saa) serves them in _somone else's_ (tassaa) house. This doesn't quite come across in the English translation above. If she had served them in her own house, like the above sounds, it would be: saa attano nivesane bhikkhusa`ngha.m parivisati.

The context suppports my reading with _saa_ referring to Visaakhaa's grandaughter, who serves the Sangha in Visaakhaa's (her grandmother's, tassaa) house.

The idea of there being this distinction is further supported a few lines earlier with:

Iti te attano ghare bhikkhuu parivisitu.m na labhanti.

"Therefore they can't serve the monks in their (own) houses".

> I still don't understand "satasahassa.m vissajjetvaa". What does it
> actually mean? Thank you.

I believe the verb literally means"spread out" or "spread around", perhaps "emit". So here, to 'spend' or 'distribute'. vi + root _s.rj_ so:

"having distributed a hundred-thousand [pieces of money]".
