N:I think this is very good. Alone, solitary are also meanings of eko.
Phra: 3) "cittassa nimitta'm" - I took some liberty on it; since "citta" is
used
> sometimes in the sense of "meditation", and the commentary takes this phrase

> "the meditation object".
N: co: <citassa nimitta: nimitta of samaadhi citta and nimitta of vipassanaa
citta. >
I am thinking of the two meanings of jhaana: aarama.nuupanijjhaana,
meditation on the forty subjects (kasina etc) in samatha and
lakkha.nuupanijjhaana, contemplation on the three characteristics in
vipassana. We can take both of these as having a kammatthaana. Thus, I think
<the meditation object> is fine. The sutta is very compact.
As to sammaadi.t.thi, the Co states: sammaadi.t.thi in vipassana.
And this is very interesting:
< 'Not having brought right view to fulfillment, he will bring right
concentration to fulfillment' - this position is unfounded.>
We may wonder about the order, first sammaadi.t.thi and then samaadhi. But
the Co explains: <samaadhi is magga samaadhi and phala samaadhi>. Thus this
pertains to lokuttara citta. It is calm, being removed from kilesas.

With respect,
Nina.
