N: PTS has similar: come day come night. Thai has: the whole night and day
that pass by. But I know the order of night and day can be turned around:
day and night, I have seen that before. Perhaps a matter of counting.

N: Just another possibility: falling away and decline, or decrease and
decline.

forgetfulness, lack of mindfulness.
