Hi Derek,
DC> A question: What does saa ("saa chavi.m chindeyya") refer to?
Probably adjective '(his) own' from the demonstrative pronoun sa
'that, he, she'. Thus 'having cut his (own) skin'. 'Chavi' is female
noun after all.
Or do you think this is an ablative 'from himself'? 'Having cut off
his skin'? I don't think this is quite logical in this passage.
Dimitry
