Fóru þeir Bolli á Völlu til Ljóts.

They, Bolli (et al) went to Vollu to Ljotr’s (place).

 

Þar heitir í Hestanesi sem þeir höfðu barist.

It is called there Hestaness as they had fought.

 

Óttar bóndi skildist eigi fyrri við þá Bolla en þeir komu heim með Ljóti.

Farmer Ottar didn’t part from Bolli before when they came home with Ljotr.

Bolli game him magnificent gifts at parting and thanked him well for his assistance.

Bolli called Ottar his friend (Z. has “friendship,” so I may be missing something here)

 

Fór hann heim til Krossa og sat í búi sínu.

He went home to Krossa and stayed on his farm.

 

88. kafli - Af Bolla

 

Eftir bardagann í Hestanesi fór Bolli heim með Ljóti á Völlu við alla sína menn en Ljótur bindur sár þeirra og greru þau skjótt því að gaumur var að gefinn.

After the battle in Hestaness, Bolli, with all his men, went home with Ljotr to Vollu, and Ljotr binds their wounds they healed quickly because attention was given.

 

En er þeir voru heilir sára sinna þá stefndi Ljótur þing fjölmennt.

And when their wounds were healed, then Ljotr summoned the the Thing a great many people.

 

Riðu þeir Bolli á þingið.

They, Bolli (and the rest of his party), rode to the Thing.

 

Þar kom og Þorsteinn af Hálsi við sína menn.

Thorstein of Halsi came there with his men.

 

Og er þingið var sett mælti Ljótur: "Nú skal ekki fresta uppsögn um gerð þá er eg hefi samið milli þeirra Þorsteins af Hálsi og Bolla.

And when the Thing took place, Ljotr spoke: “Now the history shall not be put off concerning arbitration, which I have arranged between Thorstein from Haldi and Bolli.

 

Hefi eg það upphaf að gerðinni að Helgi skal hafa fallið óheilagur fyrir illyrði sín og tiltekju við Bolla.
