að hann sé þá fylgjuengill minn."

"I wish then to stipulate," says Hall, "that you promise me it for him that
he be then my guardian angel."

"Því mun eg heita þér," segir Þangbrandur.

"I will promise it to you," says Thangbrand.

Tók Hallur þá skírn og öll hjú hans.

Hall received then baptism and all his household.

Um vorið eftir fór Þangbrandur að boða kristni og Hallur með honum. En er
þeir komu

During the following spring Thangbrand went to preach Christianity and Hall
with him. When they came

vestur um Lónsheiði til Stafafells þá bjó þar Þorkell. Hann mælti mest í
móti trúnni og

kinsman of Hall's, and (he) received the sign of the cross.

Þaðan fóru þeir til Svínafells og tók Flosi prímsigning en hét að fylgja
þeim á þingi.

From there they went to Svinafell and Flosi received the sign of the cross
and promised to

Þaðan fóru þeir vestur til Skógahverfis og gistu í Kirkjubæ. Þar bjó Surtur
Ásbjarnarson
