'laust', here = 'lauzt' (in the older spelling) -- 2nd sg. past of
'lúta' "to bow down (to)" (and by extension "yield to, do homage to").
More of Skarpheðinn's joking. The spelling 'laust' could in theory
also be the 2nd sg. past of 'ljóta', but that other version of the
text had 'lauzt' and MM & HP must have understood it as such: "Now you
have knelt before me."
