I will say this Victor, you ask some interesting questions  in fact in the last piece of the Translation We
were doing there were a band of men whom Hrafnkell took to the "Thing" the Council Meeting Place, or place of Assembly well they were called Hrafnkells "Thingmen" and no doubt they would have been
a choice group of men suited to bear Arms.

Please excuse if you have seen this question before but I am trying to find some help with finding a suitable old norse term to describe a group or company of people. Perhaps something like a warband that might have existed during the viking ages. Any help or suggestions on this would be much appreciated.
