There were a couple of words I couldn't find and one phrase I couldn't

puzzle out at all this time.

when the king’s men saw him (Auðun), they ? [laughed, hlæja (hló, hlógu, hlegið)]

 

þeir at honum. En konungr sagði, 'Eigi þurfu þér at honum at hlæja, því

at him.  But the king said, “You many [need]  not laugh at hum [him], because

 

at betr hefir hann sét fyrir sinni sál heldr en ér.' Þá lét konungr

him given a bath [strictly, “had a bath made for him” I think] and gave him then clothing, and then [is, stays] he (was) [now] with him

(the king? [yes]).
