Are these these names of male or female people or creatures? Here
are my suggestions:

Verði = "the worthy [one]" = male
Verða = "" female

And for "tragic blaze", how about Harmbrenna? Brenna "the burning
of a house or person". Harmr "grief, sorrow". Brenna is a feminine
noun, but Old Norse nicknames based on a noun, as far as I know keep
the form of their original gender and declension, e.g. Ragnarr
loðbrók "Ragnar Shaggy Trousers".
