For example, Latin colo: 'to dwell, to live', in-quil:-inus 'tenant', etc. derive from an isolated root *kWel- HOMONYMOUS to PIE *kWel- 'to turn'. In turn, this root is cognate to Proto-Altaic *gù:lì 'dwelling, cottage' and Proto-Uralic *kilä/*külä 'dwelling'.
