Among the many theonyms listed in Hesiod's Theogony, there's a lot of names that seem to have a similar origin, Proto-Greek, Pre-Greek, Para-Greek or anything else.

I gathered a cluster of names that are similar in:
1) having short vowels
2) thematic endings -os or -a

e.g.:
Pontos
Kronos
Nessos
Kottos
Rheia
Theia
Gaia
Koios
Kreios

Is there any clear suffix? -nos- -yos/-a?  Any comments?

Kronos < ? Akin to OIrl Bran? < *IE or non-IE gWrh2no- ?
