The name that Rick mentioned comes from his Irish captivity
and according to Jackson is properly <Sucat> [sugad].
Jackson takes it to represent Prim.Welsh *[s'&"gad], Welsh
<hygad> 'warlike'. Here [s'] stands for Jackson's
upper-case sigma, which represents some intermediate stage
in the development /s/ > /h/, and [&"] represents a ligature
of schwa and <o> that Jackson uses for what is historically
a reduced [รถ], perhaps a rounded [&].
