I think the question here is the definition of creole
or how much contact it takes to create a creole
language or if another term, e.g. Mischsprache may be
more accurate. A creole is a language with more than
one parent. If Afrikaans is to be considered a creole,
we need to know who the other parents are besides
Dutch. I definitely see French influences but I don't
know how Khoi-San influenced it.
