2) If we can trust Savina's Dictionnaire tay-annamite-français, we
have Siamese /s/ - 'Tay' /th/. However, the less common Siamese /th/
also corresponds to 'Tay' /th/. I think Arnaud has an even better
example from some nearby Chinese dialects.
