culture [1100-400 BCE], and in early Slavic times
[from ca.600 CE]. The town itself was founded by the
Teutonic Knights in 1233 (on the site of the previous
Slavic settlement). There is nothing on possible
occupation in Przeworsk or Wielbark times.****
