****GK: The point is that viewing the territory of
eastern Ukraine as a component of the PIE homeland has
a great deal of scientific data to support it, whereas
there is absolutely nothing even remotely comparable
for India. Kishore Patnaik's comments are simply
dogmatic, at times (his "Maya" fantasies) verging on
the totally ridiculous. If you believe something so
strongly that scientific evidence does not matter,
then you are in religion or ideology.****

****GK: No you're not. Your usual technique is to post
some ridiculous item about India as the PIE homeland,
failing to respond to that portion of the ensuing
criticism which devastates it, and after a while,
coming forth with yet another item, etc, etc, etc. The
main difference between you and Kishore Patnaik is
that you are more articulate in English.****

****GK:Clearly not.The Indian scenario is
archaeologically impossible. There is nothing
insuperable about many of the other scenarios, though
some have more difficulties than others. Discussing
Pontic, Anatolian, Danubian possibilities for instance
is discussing theories which have a great measure of
initial plausibility. India is completely off the map
in such discussions.****
