In languages that lack both "zero" and "unlimited" numbers,
the highest known number usually is used to mean "maximum" hence "unlimited" = all
The same thing happens in Hieroglyphic Egyptian and Chinese.

I noticed that the Hittite expression "the thousand gods" implies "all
the gods" - i.e. an uncountably large number. Likewise, I have read of
the 1000 names of Vishnu.
Could this be an archaism
