This is what I mean by insufficient evidence. The root *ters- has many
derivatives (*tr.sú- being one of the most common), but why should they
all go back to the same protoform rather than reflect independent
formations? Especially as the Khowar word for 'thirst, thirsty' is in
fact <thrus.ní>, and is a likely loan from Iranian, according to
Morgenstierne and Strauss.
