135.) as feminine bela from *bho:dh-lo, cf. OCS bodlj `spina`<
*bod-lü: Lat fodio: `burrow, dig': Hitt padda- ~ pidda- `id.'; Nwels
bedd `grave', Toch A pa:t- `plough'. According to Watkins here belongs
also NE bed from Gmc *badjam `garden place, sleeping place'. (Pokorny

*bhedh-2 `to bind`. Also *bhendh-. 1a. Alb bind `to convince,
persuade, astonish' from *bhendh-o through -eCC- > -iCC- or, much
probably *e > i if followed by */o/: *pezd-o- > Alb pidh `cunt, twat,
pussy`, *ghendh- > Alb gjej < gjanj `to find, guess, beget' from
*ghendh-n-yo, but gjindem `to be found' from *ghendh-o-mai; *wet-o-s >
vit 'year', but *wetes > vjet 'years' b. medio-passive bindem 'to
obey, follow, bend, be astonished' from *bhendho-mai; c. bindje
`conviction, assuerance, obedience'. 3. Alb përbindësh `monster' from
prefixed locative plural form *pro-bhendh-oisu: Old English bindan `to
