I think that *kWr.mi-/*wr.mi- is a good example of tendency to change a
labiovelar to labial(labiodental). Nevertheless, I think that the
change *p - *kW > *kW - *kW is phonetically conditioned. Alb pjek 'to
bake, ripen' is derived from *pekW-o, but Alb sos 'to burn' is from
assimilated form *kWe:kW-yo. Other posibility of *kw > p is when
labiovelar was preceded by nasal: *wokW-ni > Alb umb/um 'small
plowshare' from *unkW-, cf. also Illyrian lembus < *lengWh-os or
Romanian limba < lingua etc.
There are also Illyrian place name Kerkora/Korkora from *kWo:rkW-ora <
*perkW-/*kWerkW- as well as Ulpiana, besides Ulciana, both from *wl.kWo-
.
