If these words are related, I think *ungwhus would
be
unnecessary. In Greek o>u between certain
combinations
of round (or sonorant) sounds. Albanian could have
had
KW>P between back and nasal (or something similar as
in
Greek *xukWn.ós > ipnós) then metathesis and final *i
>
u after CW / P (possibly as a lasting rule from PIE)
or
an even more complicated series we wouldn't have
enough
evidence for to even be able to think of.
