Reconstructions of simple thematic presents like *bHér-e/o- are
traditionally called "PIE", but it seems that they were only beginning
to emerge as a class of present stems after the split of PIE into
proto-Anatolian and "the Rest". They are completely absent from
anatolian, and only two (!) of them, *bHér-e/o- and *h2ág^-e/o-, have
exact cognates in Tocharian. As for the origin of simple thematic
