Good that you come with this idea George. That remembered me an
older question I have. We do know Slavic loaned a lot of words from
Germanic. We do know a lot of Gothic words. Are there some traces
which shows that this and that word in Slavic is from Gothic or the
loan is so hard to trace that one can just say "Germanic" but not
more as that? Is there any chance we find out Slavs have had
something to do with the Goths or not? I remember, one of the
reasons for the "moving of the Slavs" from their ancient places
should have been the Goths. But, unlike the Avars, the Goths did not
joined with the Slavs, so such kind of points made me to think about
the posibility/imposibility of the Gothinc loans into Slavic.
