Transition of Alb g^H > d, D (dh )?

Hello,
Any idea regarding how the transition of Alb. g^h > d, dh took place?

I suspect:
g^h > dzh > dh > d (in some contexts) but I ask myself if is not
better to suspect directly g^h > gh > dh or something else

Seems more probable to be before Roman Times but ...do you know a
direct detail that shows us this for sure?
