BTW Miguel in his notes derives the many Latin perfect-based tenses
from stem + -w suffix (forming past active participles in Slavic) +
*h1s- inflected. He doesn't directly mention what stem he bases Latin
imperfect on. The stem he and you use, *bhh2w- mirrors exactly
AfroAsiatic *baw- and can be analysed as *bh-h2- (with cognates in
AfroAsiatic too) + -w suffix.

***Patrick writes:There is no mechanism known to me whereby 'laryngeals' color vowels in AfroAsiatic. Therefore, AfroAsiatic *baw- can only be cognate with PIE *b/bhew-.Whenever PIE legitimately has *H(1,2,3), it should show up in AfroAsiatic as *?, *h, *¿, or *H.***
