So, all these fit Hung. <kard>. So, the author who
also says in his article that the word is Iranic is
right. (Only that in Hungarian, <kard> has a restricted
meaning: "sword." For "knife", a different word is
used: <kés> [ke:S]. For the verb "to cut", the basic
root is <vág-> [va:g].)
