According to Watts, Abbots Bromley (Bromleia Abbatis 1203)
belonged to Burton Abbey, and Brampton Abbots belonged to
Gloucester abbey. <Abbots Lench> has nothing to do with
abbots, however: it's OE <Æbban hlinc> 'Æbba's hillside'.
