Because compositional *h1su- > Gk. eu- under normal conditions (sporadic
reduction to *su- applies only before phonetic consonant clusters), while
*h2ju- causes no problems, either formal or semantic ('enjoying a life of
vigour' fits <hugie:s> very well).
