Well, I don't know if we make an effort or not but personally I
discovered while taking a course on IPA in university that the
"standard Canadian English" just wasn't me. I was simply not saying
/Ej/ and /Ow/. At best, maybe /EI/ and /OU/ but even then, I swear
that I'm saying /e/ instead.

Most Canadians are sick and tired of Americans claiming we talk
like this. I say /&'bAU?/.
