I don't know why ones tries to consider some derivation as perfect from
something else.
The rom. verbal desinences are allways the same, the quality of the
vowel in infinitive being the one who has an influence on the vowels in
derivation. AS I once pointed out, this conjugation is not just as one
of the IV latin conjugations but the same as in Lithuanian as well. And
as in Russian for instance:
Ia igraiu, t. igraiesi, on/ana igra(?) ; m. igraiem, v. igraete, ani
igrai(?)

In fact the it appears a very simple conjugation. V= vowel of
infinitive; for verbs which end in infinitive in "a" , V is "ã"
I sg = -u
II sg= -i
III sg=-V
I pl= -Vm
II pl= -VTi
III pl= III sg

What should be so special Latin here, just God knows. Even the plural in
"i" is in Slavic well-known without any Latin help.
